Tuesday 15th October

Drove to the Douro Valley , on the way looked for Autogas station to refill the gas bottles (almost empty)but none had the correct adapter we needed!! Drove on another amazing road , the N222,for miles from Peso Da regua towards Pinhoe. Stayed at the Quinta Da Padrela vineyard for free (although we did end up buying some wine and Olive Oil)

Monday 14th October

Drove to Aire at Venda Nova (nr Porto) Right on the Metro line so took a train into the centre. Visited several sights and had a lovely meal before catching the Metro back to the site.

Saturday 12th October

Today is a Spanish public holiday,so quite a few things closed. Leisurely morning,cycled to A Guarda and had lunch at the Celtic harp on the harbour. Mussels ,Scallops,Octopus and prawns + a lovely bottle of red wine.

Friday 11th October

Lefty Camping Cancelas and drove to Camping Santa Tecla near A Guarda. Went for a cycle along boardwalk next to beach.We are within 100mtrs of Portugal (if we had a boat we could row across the river)

Weds 9th October

Thought it would be good to do the last part of the Camino trail walk ,approx 5kms back to the End of the World!Then packed up van and headed off to Santiago.Meetying Lisas brother-Simon in evening as he is there about to start a 100mile walk along the Camino trail

Tuesday 8th October

Weather not so good today so headed off to Fisteria ,down the coast towards Santiago De Compestela.Passed by Cape Finisterre -the final destination for many Pilgrims on the Camino trail.Known as the end of the world and is supposedly the most Western point in mainland Europe.
