Left Igueldo (Potes) and did the most spectacular drive on the N621 road through the mountains.Arrived in Galicia close to Ribadore at Camping Gaviota opposite a lovely surfing beach. Went for a walk and then Pizza and beers in restaurant
Leisurely morning after our “Mountain climbing” yesterday.Walked to Monastery (largest piece of the True cross , apparently).Walked into Potes and BBQ in the evening
Beautiful morning , so decided to drive tonthe Fuente De to get the cable car up into the mountains. Wonderful drive and fanntastic scenery on top of the mountain. However we ran out of time to get to the peak as we had to get back for the last cable car.
Left Larrabasterra in the rain , chasing the sun again! Filled up with fuel and headed to Picos de Europe.Checked into Camping La Viorna just outside Potes.Chicken dinner outside.
Set off early for Bilbao , free overnight parking on the outskirts of city.Metro close by so got the train into the centre and visited the Guggenheim Museum.Then into the old town for paella and drinks.
Back into San Sebastion again today.Shopping and beach. Walked to top of Castle-Stunning views. More Tapas followed by a few drinks! Love San Sebastion
Breakfast outside and then bus into San Sebastion.Had some lovely Pintxos before starting our long walk along the cliffs.Ended up in the neighboring town of Passia,ferry across harbour and then bus back to San Sebastion.Went to Berri Bora for Tapas and drinks. Bus back to camping site.
Woke up to more rain!! Got up as early as possible to chase the sun. Weather did improve and beautiful scenery incl Biarritz. Arrived in St Sebastion and checked into Camping Igueldo. Beautiful sunny weather with views of the mountains. Ate outside-Prawns to start followed by bbq chicken.
Drove to Dune la Pilat ,climbed the highest sand dune in Europe.Weather a little cloudy. Stayed overnight at Aire du camping car- Vieux-Beacan-Les-Baines
Drove to the beautiful St. Emilion.Sun shining lovely countryside , lovely wine. After walking around for several hours ,lots of photos and a few bottles of wine purchased! We then travelled to Bordeaux , stressful driving into our 1st big city.Parked up by a marinaand walked into the city centre.Then drove to La Teich- Free overnight parking. Sausage pasta for tea.
